*Starting price is for patients who are new to GLP-1 medications — meaning you have never used a GLP-1 injection before, or you have not used one in the past 45 days. This is not limited to new 1stRX patients. All prices are for compounded formulations; final pricing is confirmed during your consultation. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved.
Your starter dose is sold as a flat 3-month supply, priced for your lower starting dose. GLP-1 medications are prescribed using a standard titration protocol — you begin at a low dose so your body can adjust, and your clinician gradually steps the dose up from there.
Those dose increases typically happen over the first two to three months of treatment. As your dose is raised during titration, mild side effects may temporarily return with each step up — this is normal and expected, and it usually settles as your body adapts.
You start with the flat 3-month starter supply, priced for your starting dose. Your pricing only moves to the ongoing/maintenance rate after your dose has been increased to your effective maintenance dose — typically once that first 3-month supply is complete. Until then, the flat starter-supply price is what applies.
Starter pricing is for patients who are new to GLP-1 medications. Setting BMI and candidacy aside, "new to GLP-1s" means one of two things:
This is not limited to new 1stRX patients. Existing patients who are switching back after a gap of 45 days or more also qualify for starter pricing, because they're returning at a starting dose.
Whether you're at the starter price or the ongoing maintenance price, every plan includes the same care and support:
Compounded medications are generally not covered by insurance. Brand-name versions (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound) may be covered with prior authorization, but insurance coverage is inconsistent. Many patients find our compounded pricing is lower than their brand-name co-pays.
Because your dose increased during titration to reach your effective maintenance dose. Starter pricing reflects your lower starting dose; once your clinician steps you up to your maintenance dose, your price reflects that dose — consistent with the "Why Does the Price Go Up?" explanation above.
The starter dose is sold as a one-time, flat 3-month supply — $224 for semaglutide or $449 for tirzepatide — priced for your starting dose, not a recurring monthly rate you can extend. Once you complete titration and move to your maintenance dose (typically after that first 3-month starter supply, following the titration timeline above), your pricing shifts to the ongoing maintenance rate: $149/month or $335 for a 3-month bundle for semaglutide, and $299/month or $670 for a 3-month bundle for tirzepatide.
